A day later i.e. Tuesday, there is a slight improvement in it. The government’s monitoring agency said it recorded a slight improvement in AQI on Tuesday morning. Delhi’s average AQI was recorded at 220 at 12 pm on Tuesday, down from 263 at 4 pm on Monday.

Delhi’s air quality on Sunday turned “very poor” for the first time since May, mainly due to a drop in temperature and wind speed. A lot of pollutants and air particles accumulated due to low wind speed. On Monday, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said the government has identified eight more pollution hotspots in the national capital in addition to the existing 13 and special teams will be deployed there to investigate the sources of pollution.(Contd…)
