Google His rolled out Search generated experience (SGE) in India August, bringing AI-generated responses and summaries to queries on its popular search engine. Generative AI search promises to deliver more effective and engaging results and deeper overviews. Now, the tech giant is improving on that A.I Search tool in India, Google is making the search generative experience in India more visual and localized for better results. The company announced the updates coming to its AI search in the country at its Google for India 2023 event held on Thursday.
inside it Blog Detailing the new product experience announced at the event, Google said it is adding new capabilities SGE in India which makes its AI-generated data preview more useful and easy to understand. SGE, Google said, will now be richer and more visual, adding more images and videos to some of its overviews.
“For example, when you search for something like, “What are the different ways to drape a saree?” you’ll be able to refer to a more visual and easy-to-follow AI-powered overview with images and videos of multiple types of drape,” Google explained in the blog.
Generative AI search search Being more localized by providing location-specific feedback to users. Users can find out what a city has to offer, explore things to do in their neighborhood through SGE, which will now include user reviews of places to provide better information.
Additionally, Google is facilitating access to information on government schemes. In the coming weeks, SGE will help Indian users to easily navigate and find important information on more than 100 government schemes in healthcare, housing, employment, women’s welfare, agriculture and more. All these and everything else will be available in both Hindi and English at SGE.
Google is also expanding its capabilities Google Lens, now allows people to search for skin conditions they observe on their skin. Users can take a picture of their skin condition through Google Lens and get a visual match for information about it.
The company also made new announcements Google Pay Services for both merchants and consumers. Google’s popular digital payments app is partnering with ePayLater to launch a line of credit for merchants. It is also bringing Sachet Loans starting from Rs.10,000 15,000 in partnership with DMI Finance. On the consumer side, Axis Bank is making its personal loans available on Google Pay, with more banks to follow. Users can now also get credit lines from banks UPI For payments through Google Pay like UPI payments.
Google is also improving the shopping experience on its site, making it easier to find products and expanding discovery for small businesses. “Starting today, if you search something like “Best phone under Rs. In 15,000” Google searches, you’ll now see a more visual feed of products to explore, with filters to help shoppers quickly and easily find the products they’re looking for,” Google said in its blog.
YouTube, also, getting new updates. The site will create an immersive watch page for news, culling content from trusted sources. This feature will come in 11 Indian languages, starting from Q4 2023.
