Navratri 2023: On the 9 days of Navratri, various forms of Mother Goddess are worshipped. Today is the ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri. This day is also called Durga Mahanavami. The ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Siddhidatri. Maa Siddhidatri removes the darkness of her devotees and brings light into their lives. According to astrology, this time Navami Tithi will be till 23rd October 2:58 pm. After this, Dashami Tithi will begin. The auspicious time of Navami Puja is till 2:58 PM.
Importance of the ninth day of Navratri
Last day of Maha Navami Navratri. Worshiping Mother Siddhidatri on this day gives knowledge of all siddhis. Worshiping them increases intelligence and wisdom. Havan is performed on the ninth day of Navratri after worshiping the Goddess Mother. Those who fast on Ashtami also perform Kanya Puja on this day and break the Navratri fast soon after. On this day, during puja, nine lotus flowers should be placed in a red cloth and offered to the Mother Goddess. In the puja, the four-sided ghee lamp should be lit. After the puja, the girl should be sent away with a gift. By doing this the 9 days of puja is considered successful and brings happiness, peace and good luck to the family.
Mahanavami Puja Method
Last date of Mahanavami Navratri. On this day there is importance of worshiping and reciting the Siddhidatri form of Maa Durga. On Mahanavami Tithi, one should wake up early in the morning and take a bath and take a resolution to worship. The idol of Goddess Siddhidatri should be installed at the place of worship. If you don’t have an idol of Goddess Siddhidatri, start the pooja by placing an idol of Goddess Durga. First of all, the puja should be started by worshiping Ganesha. Offer flowers to Navagraha. Then offer incense, lamps, fruits, flowers, indulgences and offerings to the Goddess. Durga Saptashati should be recited and mantras related to Mother Durga and Siddhidatri should be chanted. Finally, perform Aarti to Mother Goddess and after Kanya Puja, bid her farewell with gifts.
