In which she revealed that she tried to apologize to Salman Khan hours after the argument at the award show.
Why the fight between Salman and Arijit Singh?,
Arijit Singh disclosed this in an interview to IANS two years after the controversy. The singer said that “I was sitting in my seat very tired. Then I suddenly fell asleep. In such a situation when it was my turn for the award and my name was announced, someone else woke me up. I also know that it was very unfair to do so. But I was tired and I fell asleep.
Salman Khan taunted Arijit Singh
Arijit Singh also said, “When I was going on stage, I was wearing a very simple dress and slippers. Then Salman smiled at me and said, ‘You are the winner’? When I reached the stage, he asked me if I fell asleep… then I panicked and said, ‘You made me sleep… though then I realized I was wrong and when he was giving me the award. While he was there, I took up some work and even apologized to him.
Arijit apologized to Salman Khan in the message
Arijit said, when I got down from the stage after receiving the award, I couldn’t find my seat. So I just had to walk away. In this Salman Khan said, ‘Look at this man… he took his award in slippers and now he is leaving…’ I was really scared and didn’t know what to do, then I left. From there. But when I sat on the flight and thought about this incident, I realized that what happened was wrong. Then when I reached Kolkata I messaged him.
