UP News: Yogi government disburses Rs 2786 lakh to millet farmers, produce purchased in 40 districts

UP News: The Yogi government gave full attention to grain (millet) promotion. Under Millet’s year, on one hand UP government is organizing Shree Anna Mahotsav from October 27 to 29, while on the other hand it is also giving great emphasis on purchase by farmers. 14066.30 MT of millet has been procured from 2612 farmers so far through transparent process of UP Government. For this, purchases have been made from 369 purchase centers in 40 districts. 2786.55 lakhs has been given to the farmers under this head. The government has already given a big gift to the farmers and fixed the market support price at Rs 2500 per quintal.

Aligarh division procured 6691 MT and Agra 6364 MT.

According to the data received, the highest amount of millet was bought in Aligarh division till Wednesday. A total of 6691.30 MT was procured in Aligarh division. In the division, 2180.20 MT of millet was procured in Hatras, 1751.45 MT in Aligarh, 1429.20 MT in Kasganj and 1330.45 MT in Ita. Whereas in Agra division, 3019.20 MT of millet was purchased in Firozabad, 1865.65 MT in Agra, 1062.05 MT in Mainpuri and 418.05 MT in Mathura.

Till Wednesday, purchases were made from 2612 farmers in 40 districts. 493 in Firozabad, 448 in Hatras, 447 in Agra, 351 in Aligarh, 235 in Ita, 190 in Kasganj, 180 in Mainpuri, 86 in Mathura, 46 in Badaun, 39 in Auraiya, 38 in Etawah, Dewahpur 21 in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Farukhabad and 3 in Sambal. These include 9 in Bulandshahr, 2 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, 5 in Moradabad, 6 in Rampur, 8 in Sambal, 2 in Amroha, 9 in Bareilly, 18 in Badaun, 7 in Shahjahanpur, 6 in Sitapur, 8 in Hardoi, 5 in Rampur. 19 in Unnao, Agra, 15 in Mathura, 12 in Mainpuri, 18 in Firozabad, 19 in Aligarh, 12 in Ita, 15 in Kasganj, 14 in Hatras, 5 in Kanpur Nagar, 11 in Kanpur Dehat, 15 in Etawah and Farru. 6-6 in Kanauj, 7-7 in Auraiya, 7-7 in Ballia-Baranasi, 3 in Chandauli, 8 in Jaunpur, 11 in Ghazipur, 10 in Mirzapur, 8 in Sant Ravidas Nagar, 6 in Prayagraj, 9 in Kaushambi, 5 in Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Banda and Jalaun and 8 each. 5 procurement centers have been set up in Chitrakoot.
